The Making of Our Cabinets

Is it real wood or particle board? The old saying, " You get what you pay for" still holds true. It can be hard to find real wood cabinets that are built to last. But that's the only way we build our fine cabinets. Our shelves inside are even real wood plywood.

Our cabinets are not "stock cabinets" or "semi-custom" cabinets. We only sell hand made cabinets that are made to last. Bargain cabinets made from particle board just will not last. Stock cabinets and semi-custom cabinets are cheaper than our cabinets, but they will require replacing in the near future. You will not find a better built cabinet than ours.

Buying a cabinet is similar to buying a car. If you buy a low priced car, it will tend to break down faster and loose value rapidly. Higher priced cars generally offer longevity, increased performance, convenience, and better resale value.

So when you compare prices from one company to another, always make sure you match cabinet construction (durability), then layout, door style, finish, accessories, etc., or you may not be comparing apples to apples.

Our cabinets are built with pride. We do not rush things through. Depending upon our work load, cabinets are usually installed between 3 - 4 weeks. Please do not wait until the last minute to order your cabinets, especially if you are ordering countertops & specialty doors. You will be much happier in the end if you do it right.

Many companies do rush their cabinet production, but we know you can not rush cabinets if they are going to be durable. If you are promised a quicker delivery, be prepared to accept a much lower quality than items we provide. You can count on us to build you high quality and beautiful cabinets.

We do not use hot melt glue for setting up our cabinets because it doesn't hold for the long term. Many quick producers use this glue to shorten the construction time. They rely on it to hold cabinet items together and hot melt glue is not as reliable as other glues.

The goal of manufacturers that offer fast delivery is to produce mass quantity, not quality. In order to produce cabinets quickly, manufacturers skip, omit, or shorten steps that we feel are important to a high quality product. Early American furniture was built on quality. So, let us keep this tradition alive and avoid the corporate tendency to reach for fast profits.
